It also demonstrates the many valuable co-benefits of climate-friendly practices, including increased fertility, cost savings, and better resiliency to drought, floods, and heat.<\/p>\n<p>When CalCAN released our <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/calclimateag.org\/our-work\/ready-or-not\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ready&#8230;Or Not?<\/a><\/em><\/strong> report nearly four years ago, we lamented the lack of California-specific research on climate solutions in agriculture, particularly the near-absence of organic farming systems in scientific studies.<\/p>\n<p>As this <a href=\"https:\/\/calclimateag.org\/our-work\/calcan-fact-sheets\/\" target=\"_blank\">updated fact sheet<\/a> shows, the case for climate solutions in California agriculture has strengthened considerably since that time, even as more research is still sorely needed.<\/p>\n<p>We hope that this document, which references multiple studies published within the past twelve months, will prove a valuable resource for growers, policymakers, and researchers alike.
