In addition to her role advising ranchers and land management agencies, Devii is partnering with Pinnacles National Park on a grassland restoration project and is part of a team of researchers studying the <a href=\"https:\/\/ucanr.edu\/blogs\/blogcore\/postdetail.cfm?postnum=43533\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/ucanr.edu\/blogs\/blogcore\/postdetail.cfm?postnum=43533\">influence of grazing on wildfire risk and behavior<\/a>. Andr\u00e9e and Bianca are the 3rd and 4th generation in their family to ranch in the central San Joaquin Valley. Andr\u00e9e currently serves as the Vice President of the <a href=\"http:\/\/californiawoolgrowers.org\/\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/californiawoolgrowers.org\/\">California Wool Growers Association<\/a>. Bianca graduated from UC Davis in 2018 and has spent years immersed in the world of holistic grazing. As the Chair of the California Board of Forestry and Fire Protection\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/bof.fire.ca.gov\/board-committees\/range-management-advisory-committee\/\" data-cke-saved-href=\"https:\/\/bof.fire.ca.gov\/board-committees\/range-management-advisory-committee\/\">Comit\u00e9 Consultivo de Gesti\u00f3n de Pastizales<\/a>, Dr. Horney played a key role in streamlining regulatory barriers for the use of prescribed grazing as a wildfire risk reduction tool in CAL FIRE programs. Dr. Horney previously worked for UCCE in Colusa, Glenn and Tehama counties and as a rangeland management specialist for the USDA-NRCS in Northern California.
