Esta p\u00e9rdida de tierras de cultivo, especialmente a favor del desarrollo urbano y suburbano, tambi\u00e9n contribuye al aumento de las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero (GEI). El SALCP es un programa de subvenciones competitivas administrado por el Departamento de Conservaci\u00f3n y financia tanto servidumbres de conservaci\u00f3n permanentes como subvenciones para la planificaci\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica y el desarrollo de pol\u00edticas para que los gobiernos locales protejan las tierras agr\u00edcolas y ganaderas en riesgo de desarrollo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CalCAN y nuestros socios abogaron por la creaci\u00f3n y la mejora de la financiaci\u00f3n del SALCP.
