The CalCAN coalition has engaged as an advocate for sustainable and organic agriculture on all of the agricultural initiatives summarized below.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Climate Smart Agriculture Programs<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The state of California has launched a suite of \u00a0innovative <a href=\"https:\/\/calclimateag.org\/es\/climatesmartag\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Climate Smart Agriculture programs<\/a>, funding them with proceeds from the state\u2019s cap-and-trade program. These programs\u2014the first of their kind in the country\u2014provide unique resources for farmers and ranchers to adopt transformative farm management practices.
