2022 CalCAN Summit Poster Presentation Proposals

The Summit explores the science, policy and practice of climate change and agriculture in California. Farmers, students, faculty, agricultural professionals, advocates and agency staff are strongly encouraged to submit their poster proposals for consideration.

There are three tracks for the Summit:

  1. Policy
  2. Science and Innovations
  3. Practical Topics and Resources for Growers

Accepted posters will be displayed all day during the event. Summit participants will have time before the sessions start, during breaks and over lunch to view the posters and speak with presenters. Presenters must be available to set up their posters at 7:30am on November 14th

The following criteria will guide the selection process:

  • Topics must have an explicit focus on sustainable and organic agriculture and/or farmworker issues related to climate change mitigation and/or resilience
  • Priority will be given to presentations describing any of the following:
    • Publicly-funded and/or on-farm research
    • Grower-led or community-led initiatives and projects
    • Technical assistance resources
    • Resources that serve small and medium-sized, biodiverse farming and ranching operations
    • Model programs and policies

Note: We do not accept presentations for commercial products. Also, registration discounts are not offered for poster presenters.

Due to space limitations and other considerations, not all applications are guaranteed a poster space.

Proposals are due by September 16, 2022. We will notify you of our decisions by September 30, 2022.
